On the Beach (Standing)
Create depth:
Foreground (the kayak/ball in the front)(optional)
Mid-ground(the guests and more kayaks)

Is it ok if you don’t have a foreground, but the mid group and background selection is important.

A great way to get a nice opening photo
putting a little bit of the kayak in the water helps to capture all the elements that we need. water, sand and coconut
Look at each other
when you get couples to look at each other, they are 100% certain to giggle. so it looks like a super candid shot
Even friend or family, it always gets a smile or giggle out of them!
The heart shape
The asian heart or the asian twist
Couple shot (Sandy Shores)
This is a shot you could do when you are landing the guests at Tanjong beach
Include the entire and make them do a fun pose by asking them to wave their arms or legs around or they could also stand on the kayak.

Couple shot (Sandy Shores)-Coconut Trees
This shot will give this image a tropical vibe
you’ll have to manually position them here when they are landing
point the kayak back out to sea
move about 10m away from them
Frame the coconut, don’t chop off the coconut trees
Take in full 50mm zoom
Couple shot: Side by Side
Get the person at the back to move as close to the person in front as much as possible.
get them to hang their legs out to make it more casual
Take in 50mm zoom
this shot would be better if more of the coconut tress were included
Couple shot: Big boat
This is the key shot for all group shots at Big Boat Route.
Must be able to see Marina Bay Sand so that people know that they are fishing in Singapore. (especially the tourist)
Full zoom 50mm needed to bring MBS closer

Group/Couple shot: Big Boat
Get them close to the Vessel
Take in 16mm Wide to make the vessel look much bigger
Group Shot: the snake
If the kayaks are travelling in a 1 line snake formation like this, the group shot would look pretty cool too because this create depth in the image. Foreground, mid-ground, background.
So you don’t away have to align the group side by side.
Take in 50mm full zoom
Big Group Shots (Front)
Get the group to hold on to each other.
Important: to create a less static and stale image, get them to start paddling around, get the captain to turn the kayak into the sun, the all kayaks moving together is quite a unique feeling, they will definitely start laughing as they try to coordinate this manoeuvre.
Take in 50mm zoom
Taken from the front or 45 degrees to the side
Swimming at the beach
Take in 50mm full zoom
Take like a proper one first then get them to splash around for more candid reactions
Big Group Shots (45 degrees)

Just spam, 1 photo will have everyone inside
Take in 50mm zoom
Taken 45° from the side
Group Shot: Big Splash
Get them to splash water at each other, good way to get a natural reaction out of the group
Group Shot: Many directions
The kayaks don’t have to all point in the same direction, sometimes, looking a little messy makes the image more candid looking.
take in 50mm zoom
a combination of the ‘casual look back’, the ‘cheers’ and the ‘wave’
Group Shot: Family with kids
Get the kids to stand up for the family group shot
Get them to do a wave too!
it looks more fun!
