Unloading the kayak (MOST DANGEROUS)
Unloading with a 3 person team
Unload the kayak safety with 3 person unloading 1 kayak (driver + 2 guides)
Support 1 (top) would (bottom) would grab the kayak from pull it the rest of the way until the front of the kayak rest of the edge
Support 1 (top) would shout “Got it!” to let Support 2 and 3 know that they have a good hold on the front toggle handle.
Support 2 (bottom) will reply “Ok!” and together with Support 3 would slowly pull the last few inches off the edge to let support 1 lower the kayak to the base of the lorry.
Support 3 (side) will then take the toggle from Support 1 to lower it to ground level
Setting Up Kayak Arrangement
Put the guide kayaks right beside the lorry’s left side, ensure that there’s space for walking and unloading from the side of the kayak
Follow the flow! Once the kayak leaves the setup area, it means it has completed the checklist and is ready for the trip.
After setting up, arrange the kayak in 2 separate groups, Group 1 and Group 2 (depending on arrangement on the day).
